You’re Not Broken — You’re Built for More

Hey brother,

Yesterday, after a powerful conversation with Karl Monger—former Executive Director and now Clinical Director of GallantFew—I found myself back in the gym, recording a message that’s been burning in my chest ever since.

We were reflecting on something I said years ago on Mike Ritland’s podcast, and it hit me all over again:

“Hold the phone.
You’re the guy who went through RIP, BRC, Selection…
Earned Raider of the Year…
Survived hell.
And now civilian life is what’s going to kill you?
Give me a break.
You’re a warrior. Act like it.”

That reminder struck a chord—and I believe it needs to hit you, too.

Why So Many Veterans Struggle

Here’s the hard truth:

Most veterans, law enforcement officers, and first responders aren’t falling apart because they’re broken.
They’re falling apart because they’ve lost their mission.

We are wired like working dogs.
When we lose purpose, we dig holes—sometimes deep ones—in our lives:

  • Alcohol
  • Porn
  • Food
  • Gambling
  • Numbness
  • Rage

We don’t need more therapy sessions.
We don’t need more motivational speeches.

We need a mission.
We need a target.
We need a tribe.

The Birth of The Agoge

When I left service, I drifted too.

I put on weight.
I softened.
I forgot who I was at the core.

But when I finally reconnected with the mindset that carried me through Recon, combat, and personal rock bottoms, everything changed. I realized the mission hadn’t ended—it had just evolved.

Today, my focus is simple:

→ Become a 1% better man, every day
→ Build a lasting legacy through family and business
→ Lead a new generation of warriors, post-service

That’s why I founded The Agoge—to provide the structure, purpose, and brotherhood we all still need.

You Were Built for More

You’re not broken.
You were built for a higher purpose.

👊 If this resonates with you, I urge you to watch this message:

Then send it to someone you served alongside.
Because they might need a reminder of who they are, too.

Stay strong. Stand tall.
