You’re Not Broken—You Just Need a Mission
I was in the gym yesterday recording a video after a powerful conversation I had with Karl Monger, former executive director and now clinical director of GallantFew.
We were talking about something I said years ago on Mike Ritland’s podcast—and it’s been rattling in my head ever since:
“Hold the phone.
You’re the guy who went through RIP, BRC, Selection…
Got Raider of the Year…
You’ve survived hell.
And now civilian life is what’s going to kill you?
Give me a break.You’re a warrior.
Act like it.”
That hit me all over again. And it needs to hit you too.
Because here’s the truth:
Most veterans, law enforcement, and first responders aren’t falling apart because they’re broken.
They’re falling apart because they’ve lost their mission.
We’re like working dogs. If we don’t have a purpose, we dig holes in our lives.
Alcohol. Porn. Food. Gambling. Numbness. Rage.
We implode.
You don’t need therapy. You don’t need hype.
You need a target.
You need a mission.
You need a unit.
That’s why I built The Agoge.
Because when I got out, I started drifting.
I gained weight. I got soft.
I forgot who the F*¢K I was.
But when I remembered what made me unstoppable—what got me through Recon, war, and rock bottom—I pointed that same tenacity toward the next mission:
→ Becoming a 1% better man
→ Building legacy through family and business
→ Leading a new unit of warriors post-service
You’re not broken. You were built for something more.
👊 If this hits home for you, watch this now:

Then share it with someone you served with.
Because they need to remember who they are, too.
Stand tall.
